FIAM Italia – The culture of transparency and the audacity of glass
Founded in 1973 by Vittorio Livi in Pesaro, FIAM Italia was born from a seemingly impossible dream: turning glass from a fragile, rigid material into a versatile protagonist of designer furniture. It was the first company in the world to produce curved-glass furniture, combining innovative industrial processes with unique artisan know-how.
Over the years FIAM’s philosophy has attracted the greatest names in international design — from Vico Magistretti to Cini Boeri, from Philippe Starck to Marcel Wanders, up to Daniel Libeskind — challenging them to design objects that seem to float in space. The brand’s works are now exhibited in 25 museums around the world, testifying to a design that transcends trends.
Among the pieces that have made design history: the one-piece Ghost armchair (Cini Boeri, 1987), the Caadre mirror (Philippe Starck, 1998), the Atlas table (Danny Lane, 1988) and more recent collections such as the Cristaline table and the Pop mirror series by Marcel Wanders.
FIAM does not simply produce furniture: it shapes light and transparency to create rooms with an ethereal, timeless charm.
FIAM Italia and Mariani — Milano Design Week
Our collaboration with FIAM Italia is a story of elegance and transparency.
This close partnership reached its peak during Milano Design Week 2021, when our Milan showroom in Via Uberto Visconti di Modrone 8, in the heart of the Durini Design District, was chosen to exclusively host the official presentation of the “Mood” project by FIAM. The launch event featured the special participation of FIAM CEO Daniele Livi and artistic coordinator Adele Martelli. Our spaces became a stage for exploring new living atmospheres and the deep expressive potential of glass.

We listen, show you the alternatives in the catalogue and discuss any doubts about how well the product fits your space. Visualisation in renders or Virtual Reality, where needed, lets you understand it before you even place the order.
Delivery on your schedule, not the warehouse’s
We manage orders with the goal of finding the best window for you. If you have a building site, a deadline or a move coming up, we organise ourselves around those needs.
Someone you can trust in your home
Delivery and assembly are carried out by a Mariani employee: a person from our company, not an on-call subcontractor. Many of our clients give us direct access while they are at work. If something is not right during assembly, there is someone who comes back — not a ticket number.
Before, during and after
We are not a store with staff that changes every season. The person who helped you choose is the same person who manages the delivery and who answers if, three months later, there is an issue. A stable structure, where relationships last longer than a single purchase.
