Arflex – Italian design that has endured for almost 80 years
Founded in 1947 in Giussano, Brianza, Arflex (originally “Ar-flex – arredi flessibili”, flexible furnishings) was created by Carlo Barassi, Renato Teani, Pio Reggiani and Aldo Bai with a clear vision: combining formal research, technological innovation and uncompromising comfort.
From the very beginning the company worked with the great masters of Italian design – Marco Zanuso, Cini Boeri, Franco Albini, Mario Marenco, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Jaime Hayon – creating icons that today belong to the permanent collections of MoMA in New York, the Triennale di Milano and many other international museums.
Among the legendary pieces: the modular sofa Strips (Cini Boeri, 1968), the Boborelax armchair (Cini Boeri, 1967), the Marenco system (Mario Marenco, 1970), the Elettra armchair (BBPR, 1954) and the recent Penta, Tokio and Yuzu collections by Claesson Koivisto Rune.
Arflex does not simply make furniture: it creates objects that improve the way we live our spaces.
Why Buy From Us
Arflex is iconic and available from many fine retailers. What we want to be appreciated for is how we are organised: a vertical, technology-driven integration built to make every phase more efficient. We are committed to being efficient in order to offer you a competitive service. Contact us for access to the catalogues and our services.
What we want to offer you is someone who follows your purchase with care, with concrete services that prevent problems along the way: an accurate view of the products, a delivery plan agreed around your commitments, the utmost care in transport and assembly, and guidance on how to look after your pieces over time.
Before you decide
We listen, show you the alternatives in the catalogue and discuss any doubts about how well the product fits your space. Visualisation in renders or Virtual Reality, where needed, lets you understand it before you even place the order.
Delivery on your schedule, not the warehouse’s
We manage orders with the goal of finding the best window for you. If you have a building site, a deadline or a move coming up, we organise ourselves around those needs.
Someone you can trust in your home
Delivery and assembly are handled by our own team: people who know the pieces and respect your home. Many of our clients give us direct access while they are at work. If something is not right during assembly, there is someone who comes back — not a ticket number.
Before, during and after
We are not a store with staff that changes every season. The person who helped you choose is the same person who manages the delivery and who answers if, three months later, there is an issue. A stable structure, where relationships last longer than a single purchase.
