The Arflex Algon is an armchair that wraps around you: its shape creates a small, sheltered space that is all yours. It was designed by Luca Nichetto, in two heights. Here at Mariani, official Arflex retailers in Milan and Arluno, we let you try it.

The Algon was born in 2016 from a design by Luca Nichetto for Arflex. Arflex presents it as a series of armchairs with an embracing shape, offering intimacy and privacy to the person they welcome.
It is a versatile armchair: the back can be high or low and the cover smooth or quilted, so it works as well in a living room as in a hotel lobby.
Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976, studied at the Art Institute and graduated in industrial design from IUAV. In 1999 he designed his first pieces in Murano glass for Salviati and began working with Foscarini.
In 2006 he opened his studio Nichetto&Partners in Porto Marghera, and in 2011 an office in Stockholm. With the Algon he brings together Scandinavian simplicity and quilted upholstery.
