Ladle is a 2014 design by Luca Nichetto for Arflex. The aim, in Arflex's words, is a wide range of proposals with a personal character, maintaining the aesthetic and functional point of view, so that each version finds its place in very different spaces and atmospheres.
The result is a consistent family: the same soft shell, with different heights and bases, works in a classic living room as well as in a contemporary study.
Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976 and trained at the Art Institute and at IUAV, where he graduated in industrial design. He started out in 1999 with Murano glass for Salviati, then worked with Foscarini on product and materials research.
In 2006 he founded Nichetto&Partners in Venice, and in 2011 he opened an office in Stockholm. His awards include the Good Design Award and the IF Product Design Award in 2008. With Ladle he brought his approach to Arflex: a recognisable shape able to adapt to very different spaces and atmospheres.

The price of the Arflex Ladle armchair depends on the height, the base, fixed or swivel, and the upholstery. We are official Arflex retailers: we work from the current price list and send you a quote for your configuration.
Start from how you will use it: a low Ladle keeps a sofa company, a high one with swivel base becomes the reading chair of the house. Then choose the upholstery: in our showroom you can touch the samples and compare them in real light.

Armchair 81 in low and medium versions and Armchair 87 in the high version, each with a metal base or a swivel spoke base. There is also a pouf with spoke base.
It can: every version is available with the swivel spoke base, as an alternative to the metal base.
