Arflex in Milan
where to see it and try it

23 June 2026 · Brand guide · 6 min read · By Mariani Design

The Arflex collections in the Mariani Design settings — Milan showroom.

If you're looking for Arflex in Milan, the real question isn't just "where", but "where can I actually see it, touch it and have it made to measure". At Mariani Design — an authorised retailer — the Arflex sofas and armchairs aren't a catalogue image: they're there, in the showroom, to try. Here's what you'll find and why it's worth starting here.

Arflex has no single-brand store in Milan: here's how to find it

Arflex is a manufacturer, founded in 1947 in Giussano, in Brianza. Like almost all the great Italian design brands, it doesn't sell through company-owned shops but through a network of authorised retailers. That means that, in Milan, the correct way to see and buy Arflex is to turn to an authorised retailer — with official warranty, access to the full catalogue, delivery and assembly.

Mariani Design is one of them: we represent Arflex all year round, not just during the Salone. Last April our San Babila showroom was chosen as the official Fuorisalone location for Arflex 2026, with the new collections by Jaime Hayon.

"An Arflex sofa isn't chosen from a photo. It's tried: you sit on it, you feel the upholstery, you understand the right depth."

The Arflex pieces to see in the showroom

A short guide to the pieces that best tell the brand's story — the ones worth asking to sit on when you come and visit us.

Sofa · Cini Boeri, 1968

Strips

The great Arflex classic, winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 1979. A modular, enveloping sofa, recognisable for the soft quilting that makes it look like a duvet. Modular, removable covers, perfect for those who want an iconic piece that's still liveable every day.

Modular system · Mario Marenco, 1970

Marenco

Pure softness: generous cushions resting on a low frame. A modular system that became an icon of Italian seating, always current, ideal in contemporary spaces.

Armchair · Cini Boeri, 1973

Botolo

Compact, sculptural, on a swivel base: the Botolo armchair is one of those pieces that change the character of a room with very little footprint. Perfect as an accent next to the sofa.

New · Jaime Hayon

The new collections by Jaime Hayon

Today's designers continue the dialogue between Arflex and the great makers. Jaime Hayon's latest collections — presented in our very showroom during Milan Design Week 2026 — bring colour, softness and a recognisable signature. Ask us which pieces are available to try.

Other historic Arflex pieces

Boborelax — armchair, Cini Boeri, 1967.

Elettra — chair, BBPR, 1952.

Bonsai — modular seating system.

Why see it at Mariani (and not just "see it")

The difference between looking at a sofa and choosing it well lies in what happens after you stand up from it. As authorised retailers we have access to the full Arflex catalogue — not just what's on display — and we support every client all the way to delivery and assembly with our in-house team.
