The Arflex Leenus is a sofa to enjoy at a slow pace: a welcoming look, a generous seat and
back cushions that overlap. Fabrizio Ballardini designed it in 2022 as a system of modules to combine. Here at
Mariani, official Arflex retailers in Milan and Arluno, we help you find the right composition.

The design: overlapping cushions and free modules
This is how Arflex describes the Leenus: an appealing, generous and comfortable look, thanks
to the play of overlapping back cushions and the different modules, which can be combined with
each other. It is a system made to adapt: a straight sofa for a city living room, or a large island for an open space.

The designer
An architect with a "chameleon" approach.
Fabrizio Ballardini has been an architect since 1977 and turned to industrial design in 1980, working with internationally renowned furniture companies. Arflex describes his work of the 1990s as "chameleon" design, for the versatility of his projects.
For Arflex he designed the Ribalta sofa, which made the Top Ten at the 1993 Cologne fair. With the Leenus, in 2022, he signed a new seat system for Arflex.
