Arflex presents the K2 as a large and particularly comfortable seat system, inspired by the high peaks but characterised by great formal elegance. You read the inspiration in its generous proportions, not in sharp shapes.
Carlo Colombo designed it in 2010, a year after the Frame: where the Frame plays on its structure, the K2 is all about a generous seat.
Carlo Colombo graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1993, but his first piece came earlier: the Kyoto bed for Cappellini, presented at the Salone del Mobile in 1992. Since then he has worked with many design companies and expanded into products, interiors, graphics, exhibitions and architecture.
In 2004 he was named Designer of the Year in Tokyo; between 2005 and 2011 he received Elle Decor's International Design Award four times, and in 2009 he was among the winners of the Good Design Award. For Arflex, after the Frame, he designed the K2.

The Arflex catalogue lists 210 and 308 cm sofas, a 105 cm one-arm unit, a 98 cm armless unit, a 105 cm corner unit and a 103 × 103 cm pouf, plus cushions.
Yes: besides the Arflex fabrics, the K2 can be upholstered in the Ambra, Giada, Perla and Rubino leathers. The feet are metal, black or burnished.
