Momo is a 2025 design by the Swedish practice Claesson Koivisto Rune. Arflex describes it like this: nestled on top of tubular metal frames, soft and rounded cushions define the Momo chair and armchair, lending them an expression all of their own.
The frame stays thin and almost graphic; the padded volumes, with rounded armrests hugging the seat, give it its character. The same idea also exists as a chair.
Claesson Koivisto Rune is a Swedish practice founded in 1995 as an architectural office. Over time it has become multidisciplinary, bringing together architecture and design in the Scandinavian tradition.
Its architecture includes the Sfera Building culture house in Kyoto and the Swedish Ambassador's residence in Berlin; its products are made by more than forty international companies, Arflex among them. Momo brings this Nordic eye to Arflex: few lines, soft shapes, nothing superfluous.
