Serenity, simplicity, materiality, modularity: these are the words Arflex uses for the
Rendez-Vous, the sofa system designed by Mauro Lipparini. A sofa with a tidy outline
that turns soft and welcoming inside. Here at Mariani, official Arflex retailers in Milan and Arluno,
we help you find the right composition for your space.

The design: rigour outside, softness inside
The Rendez-Vous was born in 2016 from a design by Mauro Lipparini for Arflex.
In the company's words, the idea is to pair an overall formal rigour with the exuberance of the inner
softness, as if the sofa were trying to hug and hold the body in the pleasure of comfort.
"A tidy shape that does not give up the embrace: the Rendez-Vous is made to sink into, not just to look at."

The designer
Minimalism, with the pleasure of comfort.
Mauro Lipparini graduated in architecture from the University of Florence in 1980, where he later taught. He works across industrial design, architecture and interiors: home and office furniture, textiles, corporate headquarters, showrooms, shops and exhibitions, for European and Japanese companies.
His language has been called natural minimalism: essential forms and clean lines, warmed by colour, texture and a sense of pleasure. The Rendez-Vous shows it clearly: a rigorous outline and a soft seat living in the same piece.

Features: one system, two depths
The Rendez-Vous is a true modular system and comes in two versions, D.95 and
D.120: the latter is the deeper one, for those who like to sit with their legs tucked
up or stretch out. Each has its own sofas, units and accessories.
Sofas also with high armrests — for a more sheltered, enclosed look.
Corner and island units — for L-shaped layouts or compositions open on several sides.
One-arm chaise longue and poufs — to stretch out or complete the composition.
Back cushions and a corner cushion — to fine-tune the seat.
